People With Vision

I was challenged by a question that was posed by a pastor in San Antonio. The question was, "In the story of the 12 spies that Moses sent to scope out the land, only 2 could see the possibilities, why is that"? As I pondered in my mind as to the "answer" to this question, two words popped into my head: Maintainers and Visionaries. There is a big difference between a "Maintainer" and a "Visionary". Out of these 12 men, 10 men went out and did what they were asked to do. Nothing more, nothing less. Yet 2 men not only went, but "saw" what they were asked to do and scope out.

In life, not everyone is going to see your vision, because not everyone is meant to see your vision. The Lord has something special and planned for every individual who belongs to Him. As the Body of Christ, there are many members and each one has a role and mission to accomplish. Therefore, we must surround ourselves with individuals/people of like mind and like call! We must see the Body of Christ as a whole and not limit her to the congregation we worship at. Let's begin to recognize that we are part of something greater and bigger than us! This is kingdom mindedness and kingdom building. If you have a vision from the Lord, He will also provide for that vision to be accomplished (i.e., people, finances, locations, leaders, support).

I encourage you to not fear envisioning for the kingdom as well as not being timid when it comes time to accomplish that in which you see. What are you today? A "Maintainer"? Or do you have "Vision"?
