February 24, 2008- 8:30 P.M.

"But we do not want you to be uninformed brethren about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope." 1 Thessalonians 4:13

This evening at 8:30 p.m., my grandmother Caroline Ramirez went to be with her Lord and Savior. It has been an emotional "roller coaster" for my family this past week. Yet, it is a bitter-sweet feeling knowing that my grandmother is in the presence of the Lord! I was very close to my grandma, being I am the eldest grandson in the family. So my relationship with my grandma and grandpa were very dear to me. I knew that one day I would have to say "see you later" to my grandma, I just didn't realize that that time would be today. I thank the Lord that I was able to talk with her two days before she died and tell her how much I loved her and appreciated her as one of my spiritual heroes. I think what was most amazing was to see her eyes open at 8:30 p.m. and watch her breathe her last into glory. As the music group "Mercy Me" so realistically put it, "I can only imagine." That very second, she closed her eyes here on earth and opened them in the presence of the Alpha and Omega! I can only imagine!
To all of you who have been praying for my family, I thank you deeply. Your prayers and support were deeply felt and appreciated. I do encourage one last thing; life is too short to not make your life meaningful. Trust Jesus now, love your family now, let go of pride now, forgive now, let go of the grudges now, don't live with anymore regrets now. Enjoy the life and the family that God has given you.
