Well I must say, football season ended too soon. I can't believe that the Super Bowl is already this Sunday. It's bitter sweet for me. As you may already know, I am an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and have found myself in a 3 week "mourning" period. The NFC representative should have been my beloved Cowboys, however, the Giants will do. Here at FCOH we have had a fun tradition when it comes to sports. We have a membership of sports fans and have taken advantage of the fun that surrounds the sporting world. We have made it a tradition in our church that on "Opening Day" in football and baseball season, that you come to church wearing your favorite teams jersey, shirt, cap etc. We have also extended the fun by doing the same during the Super Bowl and World Series. Therefore, if you happen to come to FCOH this Sunday, wear your favorite teams attire (it doesn't have to be Patriots or Giants). Also, if you happen to be watching us on the web, don't freak out or think that the pastor is sac religious because he's wearing his Roger Staubach number 12 jersey as opposed to a suit. Please know, that I know that it wasn't Roger who died for me; he just gave us 2 Super Bowls! Finally, just a quick announcement: This is Sunday we will be having as a guest in our church former San Francisco 49er cornerback, #24 Tyrone Smith! He will be sharing his testimony on how Jesus changed his life. Tyrone is a great friend of mine and am excited to have him with us at the Fellowship (even if he is a 49er). Have a great week and be blessed!
Go Patriots- Pastor Sammy
