It amazes me how technology has progressed in the past decade. The things you would have thought would be impossible have now become a reality and a way of life. As for me, it's difficult enough to keep up with a blog on a website much less to keep up with all the new gadgets that are coming up! Yet, what amazes me the most is how one simple idea can spread like a wild fire. You see, we here at FCOH are not smart enough to think of the ideas that the Lord has so graciously allowed us to accomplish. For example: All it took was for our worship Pastor Bryone Sharp to connect a cable from a video camera to a computer and "wah-lah" we're live on the Internet. For over a year now we have had a live program of Christian hip-hop and evangelism on Friday nights hosted by JoJo Gonzalez and the FCOH evangelism and missions team. Well, we didn't stop there. About a year ago we decided to attempt to put our Sunday morning services live on the Internet. The main reason was to accommodate our nursery workers who were not able to go into the service as well as those members of FCOH that happen to work on Sundays. Well, like I said, we are not smart enough to see God's plan in front of us. To make a long story short, we have over a thousand hits to our website a week and have 150 confirmed different computers logged on with us consistently on Sunday mornings around the U.S and the world! That's right, the world! When I say world, here are the different countries watching us every Sunday- Canada, United Kingdom, Korea, China, Brazil, Saudi Arabia and a few more that I forgot. This doesn't include, Texas, California, Florida, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Arizona, and a few other States. Why is this huge? You see, on a given Sunday morning at FCOH we have in attendance (including children) approximately 250-300. Outside of FCOH we have 150 confirmed! That's a whole different church! You see what I mean when I say we're not smart enough? This is why the Lord said that greater things we will do when He leaves. This Scripture doesn't mean greater in power or in miracles, but greater in outreach. In the days of Jesus and His disciples, they didn't have the Internet or computers, they had strong legs and long walks. We have a mouse and a click of a button. This is why Scripture continues to speak volumes when the Lord said, "I will use the foolish things of this world..." Even through our foolishness, God will use anything to bring Him glory!
Thus, here is my asking of you. If you have been a Sunday listener with us here at the Fellowship, I ask that you email us and let us know who you are and where you are from. This would allow us to acknowledge you as well as pray for you. You can send all email to contactus@fcoh.net. Again, to those who are listening, thank you for logging on with us and know that we love you and are praying for you.
