Mary Kay and Friendships

My wife Judy met a young woman in H.E.B who happened to be a representative of Mary Kay. Thus, for the past 5 years Jeny Wims has been my wife's "go to" lady for lip liner and lipstick. As a matter of fact my wife and daughter at one time babysat her son for a day. I tell you all that because you never know what people are going through. Once again at H.E.B., my wife runs into Jeny and her 10 month year old baby girl. However, this conversation was no longer about Mary Kay and lip liner but about her husband Brad. It turns out that Brad has a rare form of bone cancer called chondrosarcoma. As expected it came as a shock to my wife and I. I have known Jeny, but have not had the privilege nor the opportunity to meet Brad. Yet this story hits close to home. Therefore, I am calling on our church (Fellowship Church of Houston) and the Body of Christ that has followed my ministry to please put on your prayer lists Brad and Jeny Wims. I am sure with this type of cancer it may seem hopeless, but we do know that we have a mighty God who can do all things!
