Love Is In The Air!

What a month! The exclamation point is not necessarily one of excitement. Actually, it is kind of the opposite. It has been one of the most trying months in a long time. I recently returned from a trip I made to Fresno,CA. I was asked to conduct a Marriage Enrichment Conference for a church in the area. I had a great time with a great group of people. However, even in the midst of great individuals in a growing congregation, the devil has a way of distracting a people that is moving forward. I have never seen the enemy attack families like he has this year. Thus, I came back to Texas "guarded" and "focused". Last Sunday, I began a sermon series on Marriage and Family. I discussed how the key to a great marriage is not communication, intimacy, togetherness, forgiveness towards each other. However, the key to a successful marriage is when we are in communication and intimacy with God! The Bible tells us to "seek Him first, and than all these things will added unto us." First GOD+ Spouse= Successful Marriage! If we leave our first love (God) than it will affect our second love (our spouse). This Sunday morning I will continue with the Marriage and Family series with a sermon entitled "Romance From Song Of Solomon". You don't want to miss it. Come join us this Sunday morning at the Fellowship and take part with us as we Build Stronger Families!

God Bless you, Brother Sammy. As a member of the church in Fresno of which you speak and an attendee of the conference you conducted in August, I can attest to Satan's dirty work, and also to the fact that Jesus is Lord at our church! That is why He led you to us. The conference you conducted continues bless our church. After paying off the loan on the building of our church earlier this year, after only 7 years, we began to focus more energy on reaching out to the community to further the kingdon of God. Satan surely wants none of this, so he attacked our families viciously. But we believe in His promise (James 1:12) of the crown of life when we persevere under trial. Your message continues to ring true and touched the lives of so many in our church. Thank you! You and FCOH are in our prayers. God Bless!
