Time seems to just creep up on you! I cannot believe that August will be walking through the door in just a few more hours and before you know it we'll be cheering on the Cowboys on Thanksgiving! (3 months to be exact) You know, keeping up with these blogs is NOT an easy task, especially when your a full-time pastor, full-time husband, full-time daddy, full-time student and a full-time servant of the Lord's church. Again, time seems to just creep up on you. Yet, in the midst of "creeping time", there are still disciples to be made and families that need to hear the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. As you know, we are venturing off into some adventurous territory as a church and need to stay focused, in God's Word and last but not least, FULL OF LOVE! I want to challenge you that you find yourselves desiring to be full of God's genuine love as we lead people to the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. In 1 Timothy 1:5, Paul exhorts Timothy by sharing with him as to what emotion of the heart is the motivation to bring them to do what they do. Notice what it says: "But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith." Wow! You catch that? Paul says the "goal" of their instruction was love. What is your goal as a servant of the Lord? I challenge you that your goal is to LOVE with 1.) A Pure Heart 2.) A Good Conscience 3.) A Sincere Faith
Love conquers all and love never fails. At the same time if we do not have love we become just another loud noise that precedes a fake smile and hard heart. However with us, may that never be. May we be a church that shows true genuine love to all mankind so that we may be effective disciple makers. Especially now as time is just creeping up on us!
